About Us
MedSearchr
A smarter way to find medical opportunities from anywhere. We help students find extracurriculars, mentors, or passion projects, saving you from spending hours looking at hundreds of sites.
Mission
Why MedSearchr exists
Healthcare students shouldn't have to spend hours looking through opportunities, most of which are inactive and don't serve the community. MedSearchr bridges that gap.
Make opportunities accessible
Rather than exploring hundreds of sites for different opportunities, MedSearchr pools several opportunities within one place, making them more accessible.
Support research projects
At such a young age, chances of publications are scarce. By answering a few questions, students can publish their research for free with MedSearchr to a group of students and professionals.
Built for our peers
We're students who are interested in healthcare ourselves. MedSearchr reflects many of the problems we face, including the solutions we'd like to use as a result.
Our story
How MedSearchr started
A simple frustration became a platform for students.
MedSearchr started in a study group. While preparing for exams, we found ourselves completely overwhelmed trying to look for research opportunities online. We were spending hours filtering through thousands of outdated pages and dead ends, trying to find anything that was actually active and valuable.
But then we started looking at it differently. We asked ourselves: What if there was a tool built specifically to change this? What if students interested in healthcare had a way to skip the endless searching; instead, diving straight into projects that actually make a real impact?
That idea became MedSearchr. We're building this platform to turn that "what if" into reality!
